Norton antivirus messed up my computer

I don't know what you mean about a videodisc. My computer did come with McAfee trial and I removed it completely when I first bought the computer then put on Norton and Norton worked great for a year till the latest upgrade. Furthermore plse tell us the exact model of your Toshiba laptop - Cxxxx and the model no. I went back to the old driver which is 8. How it would mess up norton is explained in my earlier posts.

Nothing happened so I began running scans with windows defender.

While Windows Defender was scabbing though an error box came up, my screen went black, and i was forced to restart my computer.

So I'm going to try the second method and perform a clean boot. By the way the error messeges are usually like "The instruction at 0xBB 0 referenced memory" or "Your computer is low on memory". The only way I could fix theissue was to go into msconfig and remove all programs from start up except for the Microsoft ones. I did that before and it worked but I think I undid those settings somehow causing the errors to reappear. I don't think it has anything to do with my anti virus.
